We are seeking an ambitious postdoctoral fellow with great team-working and communication skills, who has a background in either vascular biology (preferably small vessel diseases/CADASIL), and/or neurodegenerative diseases. The successful applicant should have extensive experience and practical skills from research animal work, immunohistochemistry and regular protein and RNA analysis methods such as western blot, qPCR, ELISA, MSD and cell-and molecular biology techniques. Furthermore, it is a merit if the applicant has knowledge in Bioinformatic tools such as in R coding language, and data processing using different package such as the Seurat package, ClusterProfiler, Monocle3. Good ability to speak and write English is a requirement. A strong scientific drive is expected, documented with a publication record.

Scholarships for postdoctoral qualification can be established for foreign researchers who place their qualifications in Sweden. The purpose of scholarships for postdoctoral qualification is to promote internationalization and contribute to research qualification after a doctorate or equivalent.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoctoral fellowship in bioinformatic analyses of genome wide patterns of gene trafficking (scholarship)

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics to join a a research team dedicated to understand the function of 3D epigenome folding in relation to the nuclear architecture and its deregulation in human diseases. The candidate is expected to drive a postdoctoral project and participate in collaborative efforts to uncover hitherto unknown therapeutic targets in complex diseases, such as cancer. The work will be carried out at the department of Oncology and Pathology in the lab of Anita Göndör. We have innovated state-of-the-art techniques enabling the analysis of 3D chromatin structures and chromatin fibre networks in single cells and small cell populations to provide unique opportunities for novel discoveries. In addition, we have developed assay systems to score for genome wide analyses of gene trafficking and the involved regulators using siRNA libraries.

(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoctoral Researcher in Eukaryotic RNA Genomics

The available postdoctoral position concerns developing and applying novel genomic approaches to study eukaryotic gene expression at an unprecedented scale combining experimental and computational approaches. The candidate will work in the context of a recently awarded ERC synergy project (EPIC – Unraveling the eukaryotic post-transcriptional regulatory code) in collaboration with the labs of Prof. Kevin Verstrepen (Leuven) and Prof. Julien Gagneur (Munich). EPIC will combine the use of genomic, synthetic biology, machine learning and evolutionary approaches with the aim to understand the complete gene expression regulatory code of S. cerevisiae and other eukaryotes. The recruited candidate will focus on mapping and prediction mRNA boundaries at an unprecedented scale. The candidate will also use the generated information to quantify and predict how mRNA variations lead to divergent mRNA fates.

The candidate will integrate different experimental and computational approaches for the completion of the project, including genomics, yeast genetics, high-throughput biology approaches and bioinformatics. The candidate will perform original research in transcriptomics and computational biology, and acquire the required experimental and computational skills necessary for the completion of the project. The candidate is expected to communicate the scientific results by writing up scientific papers and attending scientific meetings. The ideal candidate will participate in the general duties of the team and effectively communicate with scientists of very diverse backgrounds in a highly interdisciplinary and international environment. Working language is English.
